Soft Mould Master

Soft Mould of the master is in production and my intramuscular injection pad and suture pad moulds. Here is a bit of the process. I am casting the casted arm of my arm in Rebound 25. I have created a clay or plasticine dam at the half way point which will allow for me to make a two part mould that can be joined together using 7/8" nuts and bolts for manufacturing., Then I can install inserts for the I.M and suture pads and make a new mast for that mould so that every arm has them already in the original manufacturing of the item.

Dually I am also making a mould for combat knives for self defence training. A requested commission from my dojo that sponsors my family and myself.  They asked if I could make a mould for their combat knife and then cast them 24 of them for training students. Being that I would give anything to support them I have made 3 moulds so far. The first was wrecked from a patch fill attempt after. The second had no top to it so after pouring and filling and merging the mould then would expand during its exothermic reaction period of curing. This forced the mould to separate and have issues with the overall finished product. A great deal of sanding was necessary. Now I have built a jig and done the mould as one full knife so that there is no issues with seaming. Further results will be posted.
